Welcome message from the new HCDCC chair
Plus: Register for our next meeting on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. on Zoom
Dear Harford County Democrats,
Please join me and the rest of the Harford County Democratic Central Committee in congratulating Mr. Dion Guthrie and Mr. Jacob Bennett, who were sworn in on Dec. 5 to the Harford County Council as the new Councilmen for Districts A and F, respectively. We are thrilled to have them in office, which gives the Democratic Party two representatives on the council, out of a total of seven seats.
Don’t forget to congratulate Del. Steve Johnson on his re-election and Andre Johnson who will be serving Harford as Delegates for District 34A in the Maryland General Assembly. Mary-Dulaney James will join them in Annapolis as she won her election for State Senate District 34.
We also just elected new officers for the HCDCC. I am honored to have been chosen by my fellow members as the chair for the next two years. Joining me in Committee leadership are Vice Chair Katie York, Secretary Stephen Puopolo and Treasurer Mike Ciufo. The other newly elected and re-elected members on the Committee include:
Paula Casagrande
Lawrence Del Prete
Barbara Osborn Kreamer
Alicia Myers
Donte Eric Pope
JoWanda Strickland-Lucas
We are excited to continue the work to support Democratic candidates in Harford County.
The HCDCC has already begun planning for the next election cycles. For us to be successful together, we will need the help of many creative, energetic and passionate volunteers to help us spread our message, get out the vote, staff our events and support the many other activities that we need to flip more seats. If you’re receiving this email, you are already among those who have committed their time and talent, and we thank you for that. We are asking you now to commit to reaching out to your friends and neighbors to tell them of the great things your Party can accomplish with their help. You can point them to our volunteer sign-up page to get into our database. Additionally, we encourage you to join us during our next Committee meeting on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. on Zoom.
We are building on the successes of the outgoing HCDCC, and are thrilled to have you as a part of this movement.
