Presidents’ Day - a Day of Action
Gather with Harford Democrats to counter, well, all the bad stuff
Presidents’ Day is normally a day to celebrate those who have held the Oval Office. Needless to say, this year’s holiday is a little different. So we invite all of you to a Day of Action!
The Harford County Democratic Party and several partner organizations will be hosting a Day of Action on Monday, February 17. Here’s a chance to get together with other like-minded people to publicly denounce the illegal activities of the current administration. Whether you are a Democrat, Independent, or Republican, the extraconstitutional attempts to shutter entire agencies is a clear and present violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, and we the people can and must stand up against these blatant violations of law.
We have activities planned throughout the day for people of all abilities:
Throughout the day:
Signwaving - Make a sign, and join others at major intersections throughout the County in signaling your disapproval of the actions of the unelected Elon Musk and his minions. We will partner you with other volunteers.
Volunteer recruitment phone banking - We will provide you with a list of potential volunteers in Harford County and a script. Make calls from your home to enlist people to help elect Democrats locally!
Write and call your Congresspeople to support their work and, in the case of Andy Harris, just give him a piece of your mind. Let’s make sure the messages he gets on Tuesday express what he needs to hear.
Sign up for as many activities as you wish here: https://bit.ly/ActFeb17
