HCDCC Seeks to Fill Vacancy
The Harford County Democratic Central Committee recently received notice that Mr. Stephen Puopolo resigned his office on the Harford County Democratic Central Committee. The Committee thanks him for his five years of dedicated service and wishes him well. His resignation creates a vacancy on the Committee for a male or non-binary member.
To fill the vacancy, the HCDCC is seeking applicants as of Jan. 22, 2024. In accordance with the HCDCC and Maryland Democratic Party by-laws, we are in search of a passionate, committed male or non-binary registered Democrat with experience and interest in local political activities and campaigns (including persons with experience in localities other than Harford County), who is willing to help the HCDCC build the Democratic Party, organize Democratic voters, and ultimately get Democrats elected to public office in and from Harford County.
To be considered for the HCDCC vacancy, candidates must submit a resume with a statement of interest and attend an interview. The statement of interest should include the candidate's interest and experience in political activities and why the candidate is the best choice for the Committee. The resume with a statement of interest is due to the HCDCC Chair (chair@harforddemocrats.org) by midnight on Monday, March 4, 2024. Applicants for the previous male vacancy may prepare a new package or indicate in a statement in the email that their materials submitted in the previous application may be reused.
Candidates submitting the required information will receive invitations to in-person interviews with the full committee, which will be held at a special public meeting of the HCDCC on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 7 p.m. at a location announced at a later date.
