HCDCC Seeks to Fill a Committee Vacancy
Applications are due on July 23, 2025 to replace Anthony Lyon, who will be running for State Delegate in 2026.
The Harford County Democratic Central Committee (the Committee) is seeking a male or non-binary member to fill a vacancy on the Committee. The successful applicant must be a registered Democrat and a resident of Harford County. Applications consisting of a current resume and a statement of interest with a summary of political experience, are due on Wednesday July 23, 2025 and should be e-mailed to the Chair at chair@harforddemocrats.org, cc’ing the Secretary at secretary@harforddemocrats.org.
Local committee bylaws stipulate that the vacancy must be filled by a registered Democrat of either the same gender or by a non-binary applicant within 45 days of the date of the vacancy. Eligible candidates will receive invitations to in-person interviews with the full committee, which will be held at a special public meeting of the HCDCC on Wednesday, August 6, 2024 at 7 p.m. at a venue to be announced at a future date.
The Committee is seeking applicants with experience and interest in local political activities and campaigns (including persons with experience in localities other than Harford County), who are willing to help the Committee build the Democratic Party, organize Democratic voters, and ultimately get Democrats elected to public office in Harford County.
The current vacancy will be created by the departure of member Anthony Lyon, who stepped down from his post on June 30, 2025 to focus on his run for State Delegate in District 34B. The Committee is grateful for his excellent work as principal field organizer over the past two years!
