Election Monitor Opportunity
Rove around the polling sites on Election Day to help monitor lines, interference, voter intimidation, and other problems!
We received this message earlier this week from Jena Speiser, the Coordinated Campaign’s Voter Protection director, about an opportunity to help monitor and report any election-related malfeasance, intimidation, lines, or anything that hinders people from voting:
“Early voting has started and thousands of folks across Maryland are making their voices heard, but right now, there is a shortage of roving poll watchers, and a majority of MD counties do not have shifts covered. The Maryland Coordinated Committee is currently looking for experienced volunteers to help protect the vote on Election Day.
Sign Up to Be A Roving Poll Observer for MD Dems!
MDCC needs roving poll watchers (rovers) on-the-ground on Election Day to ensure voting processes are working smoothly at the polls. We count on our rovers to report any issues- like long lines, broken machines, and voter intimidation- to our legal team. Will you step up?
Once you fill out this form and pick your County and Shift times, you will be emailed a link to sign up for our brief virtual training! You can expect this email in the next few days. Trainings will take place on 11/1 and 11/3. Please note you only need to attend one training session.
Thank you again for participating in these extraordinarily important efforts. When we all vote, we all win- and with your help, we’ll win big in Maryland!”
Ken Ulman, MD Democratic Party Chair, visits Harford County
Our volunteers and Party representatives welcomed Ken Ulman over the weekend in Havre de Grace, and shared with him what we are doing in Harford to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot! Mr. Ulman is touring all 24 counties to show the support of the Maryland Democratic Party for our efforts across Maryland. Thanks to members of the HCDCC, Harford Democratic Club, and our dedicated volunteer corps for making time to greet Mr. Ulman!
