Plus: Register for the Young Democrats of Harford County and Progressive Harford County happy hour
Come see the HCDCC in the Havre de Grace Independence Day Parade. The parade starts at 2 p.m. on July 4 and we will be handing out items on the parade route.
If you want to march with us, meet us at 1:15 p.m. at Post 22 on Warren Street in Havre de Grace. Be sure to wear blue and white, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes if you're walking with us.
Happy hour for the Young Democrats of Harford County and Progressive Harford County
Join the Young Democrats of Harford County and Progressive Harford County during their upcoming happy hour. The event will be on July 14 from 5-7 p.m. at TB3 Bar & Grill, 705 S. Philadelphia Blvd., Aberdeen, MD 21001.
This happy hour is free to attend and meant to help recruit people who want to get involved with either organization. There will also be a presentation mid-way through outlining what the organizations plan to accomplish.
RSVP today to let us know that you’ll be there. Help get the word out and tell someone who you think would be interested in attending.
Infrastructure deal update
President Biden has brokered an infrastructure deal with a bipartisan group of Senators. The infrastructure plan will make life better for millions of Americans, create a generation of good-paying union jobs and economic growth, and position the United States to win the 21st century, including on many of the key technologies needed to combat the climate crisis — all without raising taxes.
This package would be a massive win for Maryland, where under Larry Hogan's watch, 2,201 miles of roads and 273 bridges have fallen into disrepair. The time for infrastructure action is now.
You Can Run Virtual Program
Thank you to all of the speakers and attendees who joined us during the You Can Run Virtual Program. The event was a great success and lots of great information about connecting with campaigns and running for office was shared.
Email Suzanne Oshinsky, the HCDCC secretary, at secretary@harforddemocrats.org if you’re a registered Democrat in Maryland and want to receive a recording of the You Can Run Virtual Program.
Havre de Grace First Friday
The HCDCC is participating in the Havre de Grace First Fridays this year. We didn’t let the rain stop us from connecting with people and registering voters during the one in June. Make sure you stop by our table and say “Hi” during the next First Friday event.
Email Suzanne Oshinsky, the HCDCC secretary, at secretary@harforddemocrats.org if you would like to volunteer or help run the HCDCC's table at First Fridays.
That’s all for this update. Be sure to follow us on all social media platforms @HarfordDemocrats to stay up to date on the HCDCC.
