Today, March 20, is the application deadline to fill the vacancy for District F on the Harford County Council.
The Harford County Democratic Central Committee is seeking to fill the Harford County Council vacancy in District F. Interested candidates should submit the application materials to the HCDCC by email as a single PDF to chair@harforddemocrats.org.
A current resume detailing professional and political experience
A summary of previous political experience as an elected official, as a candidate, or as a participant in campaigns, clubs, or activist organizations
A statement totaling no more than two paragraphs on why you are interested in serving on the County Council and why you are suited for the position
A statement of legislative priorities for District F and for the County if selected
The Central Committee will meet at 7 p.m. on March 28 in the meeting room of the Havre de Grace Police Department (715 Pennington Ave, Havre de Grace, MD 21078) to interview and select the top three candidates to be submitted to the County Council. Members of the public are invited to attend, although space is limited. The proceedings will also be live-streamed over Zoom.
Applicants are advised that former Councilman Jacob Bennett’s case has been appealed to the Maryland Supreme Court, and a successful appeal could reinstate Mr. Bennett on the County Council.
